PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING WEFINE.

 

ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY IS REQUIRED BEFORE USING WEFINE HEALTH TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION’S VARIOUS MOBILE APPLICATIONS (COLLECTIVELY, “THE APPS”).  CAREFULLY READ ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY.  IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY BY INDICATING YOUR ACCEPTANCE BELOW, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ACCESS OR USE THE APPS. 

WeFine Health Technology Corporation (“Wefine” or “we” or “us”) owns and operates the Apps that provide access to an online platform for individual remote sessions with Traditional Chinese Medicine (“TCM”) consultants and high-quality personalized TCM products. WeFine does not provide any TCM services itself.   

WeFine is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal information. “Personal information” for purposes of this policy means the registration information, self-reported and consultant-reported information, and App and website use information described in Section II of this Privacy Policy if that information is identifiable to you.  This Privacy Policy describes how we use, share, and protect personal information that we collect through the Apps.  By using the Apps, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use Agreement.  By using WeFine and submitting personal information through the Apps, you consent and agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.   

I. Privacy Policy Updates

 

We may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If so, we will post our updated Privacy Policy on this page. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy that affect our collection, use, or sharing of your Personal Information (defined below), we will indicate this when we publish our revised policy. Small changes or changes that do not significantly affect individual privacy interests may be made at any time and without prior notice.

We encourage you to check this page frequently for any changes to our Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Apps and/or continued provision of personal information to us will constitute your acceptance of such change and will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy. 

II. Information That We Collect

 

1. Registration Information​

In order to register to use the Apps, you will be required to register with personal information which may include your name, gender, birth date, country, address, telephone number, email address, clinical experience, academic affiliation, education level, working experience, achievements, and research direction. You will also be required to submit, as applicable, a copy of your Acupuncture License, a copy of your Herbal License, a copy of your HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, and any other documentation requested by WeFine.  You must create a user account and designate and password. We may use your email address to communicate with you.   

 

2. Consultant Reported Information

In order to use the Apps, WeFine will require that you submit personal information, such as credit card information and your address.  As a TCM consultant, you will also share information with us about individuals to whom you provide TCM consultation, including any recommendations and herbal products provided to individuals via the Apps.  

3. WeFine Analytics

To help us provide you with an improved WeFine experience we are interested in basic information about how you use the Apps. When sharing information with us on how you use features on the Apps, we can learn about the capability of the Apps and how we can improve and enhance future updates and product releases. Our mission is to employ the user behavior insights to further develop the user experience of our future mobile applications.

We monitor usage of the Apps and analyze aggregate demographic and interest data of our users.  While some mobile applications use these tools to serve advertisements, WeFine only uses them to analyze data.  WeFine collects information by analyzing how the application features are used in general. This could be information about how extensively a feature is used and when the feature is typically activated. 

WeFine collects the following type of information:

  • Application feature information.  We may collect information about the services in use and how they are being used. In practice this could be information about features that are used, how often they are used and for how long time they are being used. 

  • Device type information.  We may collect generic device-specific information such as the type of mobile device and mobile operating system.

  • Technical log information.  When you use the Apps, we may automatically collect and store certain technical information in server logs. This may include: (1) Details of how WeFine is used. (2) Internet protocol. (3) Device event information such as crashes, App activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.

 

We do not collect geo-location information.    

 

III.  How We Use and Disclose Your Personal Information

WeFine will not rent or sell your personal information.  We may use and disclose your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, including communicating with you for any purpose, including marketing; sending your personal information to individual WeFine users; and/or preparing, fulfilling and shipping products that you have ordered/recommended. We may also use the information that you report to us for data analytics and/or to improve the Apps and the customer experience.

We may disclose your personal information to those employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf or to provide services or products available on the Apps. In the event of a sale or merger of WeFine, your personal information and other information we have collected as described in this policy may be among the transferred business asset.  By using the Apps, you consent to the transfer of such information to such persons. We will take reasonable steps to release personal information only to service third parties who provide assurances that they will maintain the confidentiality, security and integrity of your personal information.

We may share de-identified information publicly and with companies, organizations or individuals outside of WeFine or with our partners, which could be publishers, advertisers or connected sites. For example, we may share information publicly to display trends about the general use of our Apps or we may share de-identified data with researchers for use.  

We may use and disclose your personal information in any other manner with your authorization.  We will not otherwise sell or transfer your information to any company or organization without your permission. However, we may transfer your information to a successor entity upon a merger, sale, consolidation, or other corporate reorganization to which WeFine is a party.

Finally, we will disclose your personal information (i) when we reasonably believe we are required to do so by law, regulation, or other government authority or when we deem it appropriate or necessary to provide such information to law enforcement authorities; (ii) to enforce our Terms of Use ; (iii) to protect and defend the rights or property of WeFine; or (iv) to protect the safety of others, including our employees, agents, or users of WeFine.

You can stop all collection of information by WeFine easily by uninstalling the Apps. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

 

IV. Deletion of Your Personal Information

 

We will retain your personal information for only as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the personal information was collected. We will delete your personal information using reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access to, or use of, the personal information in connection with its deletion. We may retain some or all of such personal information to the extent required by law or as we deem necessary to protect our rights, including meeting our legal needs, to the extent permitted by law.

 

V. Children and Minors

 

WeFine does not knowingly allow individuals under the age of 18 to create accounts that allow access to our Apps. If you are below the age of 18 you are not permitted to use our Apps.

 

VI. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may ask us for a notice identifying the categories of personal information that we share with our affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes and to refrain from sharing your personal information with certain of these entities for their marketing purposes. In your request, please specify that you want a “WeFine California Privacy Rights Notice.” Please allow 30 days for a response. 

VII. Security of Your Personal Information

We are committed to protecting our users’ information. We employ a range of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards for securing personal information, including:

  • Secure access to the Apps via unique user authentication and perimeter controls

  • Encryption of data that will be stored

  • Encryption of data while it is in motion

  • Logging practices to aid auditing

  • Patching of servers for security updates

  • Data backup in case of equipment loss, failure, or other disaster

  • Regular risk assessments

 

While we take reasonable data protection precautions, no security measures are completely effective, and we do not guarantee the security of user information at any time. We cannot guarantee, ensure, or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. Even though there are many benefits to using our Apps, as with all electronic communications there are some risks such as (i) failure of hardware, software and/or Internet connections; we are not responsible for failures, distortions, delays, or other problems resulting from equipment configuration, connection, signal power, hardware, software or any equipment used to access the internet; and (ii) no guarantee that the confidentiality or security of electronic transmissions via the Internet can be assured due to potentially unsecure computers and links. This could result in your data becoming lost or intercepted during transmission. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information and to use good judgment before deciding to send information via the Internet. We will not be liable for any breach of the security measures on the Apps or any loss, misuse, or alteration of information resulting therefrom or from communications through the Internet. 

The Apps can only be accessed after your username and password are accepted. This allows WeFine to verify who you are and prevents unauthorized access to your data. You are responsible for:

  • Selecting a long and complex password

  • Changing your password at regular intervals

  • Not sharing your password with anyone

  • Not writing down your password

  • Logging out of the site and not just closing your browser session when you finish.
